Merweb was an Abassid era (1800 to 1850 AD) settlement –one of the very oldest - in the north-west of Qatar. There were two hundred and fifty houses, together with a fort, and the three oldest mosques in Qatar. It was a farming community that traded its produce. As a hotel, we aim to offer you modern facilities and service while introducing you, with pride, to the Qatari culture and heritage. What better than to take the name of one of Qatar’s earliest and most famous forts?
